In this 1902 photograph, “The Little Train” one of Carsonia’s most popular and enduring attractions, is shown chugging along its 1900-foot course between the theatre and Carsonia Inn. Fare for the round trip was a nickel. As no round table existed , the train returned to the station in reverse. In an effort to generate interest in the railway, its operators offered a $100.00 building lot in Rosedale (Laureldale) to the person taking the most train rides during the summer of 1903.
