In celebration of one of the earliest traditions of PA German Easter egg decorating, the BHC is excited to offer a special scratch-carved egg workshop, led by museum Curator, Amber Vroman. Learn about the history of this beautiful, and long standing Easter tradition and see some fantastic examples from the BHC’s museum collection!
Participants will dye their own Easter eggs and receive step-by-step instructions on how to “scratch” their design into the egg’s surface.
Tickets are $30 for BHC members and $35 for non-members and can be purchased by calling the Berks History Center at 610-375-4375 from Wednesday to Saturday, 9AM – 3PM. Spaces for this event are limited. Prepayment is required. Purchase price includes all eggs, supplies and light refreshments.
