It’s Time – Save Your Berks History!
Help us raise $5000 on Giving Tuesday to revitalize the Berks History Center’s museum building.
The Berks History Center’s museum building was built in 1928, specifically for the purpose of housing The Historical Society of Berks County’s growing collections. At the time, 940 Centre Ave. was state-of-the-art, designed to store and protect our county’s most precious documents and artifacts.
After nearly a century of wear and tear, our home is in desperate need of costly renovations and repairs. Some of the challenges that we face include ongoing water damage, lack of climate controls, outdated lighting, and overwhelmed storage spaces due to our ever growing collections.
Over the next few years, the Berks History Center will undertake a number of capital campaigns to ensure the long-term care of our collections. Help get us started with a generous donation on #GivingTuesday – Donate to save your #BerksHistory

Updating lighting to reduce impact on collections and improve visitor experience
-
Renovating exhibit spaces for an improved interpretation and learning environment
-
Remodeling storage areas to improve efficiency and expand our collection storage capacity
