Bradley Smith, Archivist at the Berks History Center, will present a virtual eight-week course that introduces participants to the language and culture of the Pennsylvania Dutch. This beginner course will provide participants with instruction related to pronunciation, vocabulary, and common phrases, and include discussions related to Pennsylvania Dutch culture and history. We are looking forward to you joining us remotely via zoom from your home.
Due to overwhelming demand, we will be offering multiple courses, beginning the week of January 9, 2023, and concluding the week of February 27, 2023. Each class will be 90 minutes and will be held via zoom (a link will be provided). All class material is included.
Registration and pre-payment are required. Once you sign up, this will be your designated class day and time for the 8-week session. Any changes will need to be approved. To register and/or become a member, please call BHC at 610-375-4375 Wed-Sat. 9a-3p. The cost is $50 for BHC members (Individual Level Members and above) and $120 for non-members.
