This BHC special event is sure to be un-FORE-gettable. Author and golf enthusiast, Tom Walker, will lead a presentation that honors Reading Country Club’s 100th anniversary and tells the story of Berks County’s rich history in the game of golf by highlighting the personalities and events that shaped the sport locally and globally. The focus will be on the first half of the 20th century and include topics such as: Alexander Findlay, Byron Nelson, Ralph Kennedy, the Reading Open, and the Ryder Cup Challenge.
The event will include golf-themed snacks and activities and begin with a brief presentation from Hallie Vaughan, who will speak about the achievements of Berks Women golfers.
This program will be held inside the BHC Museum Auditorium. Doors open at 5 PM.
The cost of this program is $5 for BHC members and $8 for non-members. The program fee includes admission to the BHC Museum. Fees will be accepted at the door on the day of the event.
