BHC Holds Oley Valley Barn Tour: Part IX

BHC Holds Oley Valley Barn Tour: Part IX

Were you one of the lucky folks on the May 7th Oley Valley Barn Tour: Part IX? The weather was absolutely perfect for exploring barns, mills, and getting a rare glimpse of the DeTurk House and Keim Homestead interiors.

Once again, Greg Huber wowed participants with this extensive knowledge of the history and stories behind these gorgeous buildings. If you were not able to join us, make sure to keep an eye out for our next barn tour happening this fall. All new barns will be featured!

In addition, BHC’s June Second Saturday program on June 10, 2023, will feature Greg Huber as he uncovers the mysterious marks, symbols and hex signs in the interiors of Berks County barns, many of which have very special pieces of graffiti never seen before.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants are asked to bring their own pictures of barn stars and hex signs to share with the group. The guest that brings the most visually captivating photo and the photo with the best story will receive 50% off of Greg Huber’s book, The Historic Barns of Southeastern Pennsylvania.

Mr. Huber will have books available for signing following the presentation.

This program will be held in person, inside the BHC Museum Auditorium. The cost of this program is $5 for BHC members and $8 for non-members. The program fee includes admission to the BHC Museum. Fees will be accepted at the door on the day of the event. Coffee, hot tea, juice, and light refreshments will be made available for participants at 9:30 AM.

Attendees must call 610-375-4375 prior to the event to reserve a space.
